We work predominantly with groups and providers within the SE England who are struggling to access adventure opportunities, we are best able to help groups who are able to demonstrate a need. The DCMS Youth Investment Fund Left Behind Areas list is useful in that it uses 2 metrics that give a range of data around deprivation, education, employment and skills for life, in effect demonstrating both a FINANCIAL and EDUCATIONAL need for support.
- Income Deprivation Affecting Children Index (IDACI) for 2019. This is subset of the English Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (now the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, DLUHC)
- Not in Education, Employment and Training (NEET). This data is published by the Department of Education.
